4 Years Later 🗓️⏳👣

The day my daughter was born, everything changed.

I started working graveyard shifts so I could be present during the day and never miss the moments that mattered most. Somewhere along the way, I became Superman in my daughter’s eyes. To this day, she still thinks I’m a police officer because of the gear I wore to work. There were mornings when she’d grab her backpack, head for the door, and say, “Daddy, I’m going to work with you.”

These photos are reminders of those years. Even while I was working, I’d FaceTime her every chance I got because being a father wasn’t something I was willing to compromise on.

There were seasons when I worked 80–100 hours a week. Not for luxury. Not for recognition. But to rebuild my credit, create opportunities, build capital, and lay the foundation for the future I dreamed of giving my daughter.

Today, many of the things I prayed for and envisioned years ago are becoming reality.

Business is growing. My relationship with my mother is stronger than ever. My daughter is blossoming into an incredible young lady. And God has placed a special person in my life whose daughters have welcomed me as family. Zoey has welcomed them too.

For the first time in a long time, I can clearly see what God was preparing me for.

The journey wasn’t easy, but every sacrifice, every late night, every setback, and every prayer had a purpose.

This isn’t the finish line.

It’s the beginning of the life I prayed for.

A year ago, I couldn’t have imagined everything that’s happening today.

I never thought I’d be writing something like this.

The old Billy would’ve never posted something this vulnerable.

But some people walk into your life and change everything.

I prayed for a woman who was more than beautiful. Beauty was never what I was searching for. I prayed for a woman who would challenge me, inspire me, believe in me, and help me become the man God created me to be.

Then you showed up.

Since the day we met, there hasn’t been a single day where my life hasn’t been better because you’re in it.

You remind me of my worth.

You remind me of my purpose.

You remind me that a man isn’t measured by what he owns, but by what he protects, provides, and builds.

The crazy part is that we both know this isn’t normal.

We both felt it.

That spark.

That connection.

That feeling that God was writing something bigger than either one of us could understand.

Every day we spend together, I find myself becoming a better father, a better leader, a better businessman, a better man.

Not because you asked me to.

Because you inspire me to.

And when I see our daughters smiling, laughing, growing together, I can’t help but thank God for what He’s doing in front of my eyes. (she caught me crying of joy)

Now I understand why He made me wait.
