🏳️‍🌈 The City of Hermosa Beach mourns the loss of Lake Arrowhead shop owner Laura Ann (“Lauri”) Carleton after a patron confronted her about a Pride flag displayed at her shop’s entrance. Today we send our deepest condolences to the Lake Arrowhead community and raise the flag in her honor 🏳️‍🌈

In May 2023, the City of Redondo Beach dealt a blow to Leo Pustilnikov's proposal to redevelop the 50-acre AES power plant site near the waterfront, when the City Council voted unanimously to reject the project on procedural grounds.

Both Long Beach and Hermosa raised Progress Pride flags on Thursday, June 1, in honor of the LGBTQ community.
