From the second I played my first cassette of The Beastie Boys (that my aunt who owned a record store in Anchorage sent me with a boombox), I have been in love with them and could never get enough. I grew up in a very small Colorado mountain town, and my favorite thing to do was sit in my bedroom window with my boombox playing all the new music my aunt would mail to me.
