A reminder of what’s to come is sometimes uncertain, but we can always rejoice in the memories of what once was.

A page from the 1969 Pacific Palisades Town Directory reminds us that places like House of Lee were about so much more than a meal. They were where neighbors became friends, celebrations were shared, and a community came together.

For decades, House of Lee was one of the Palisades’ most iconic gathering places, creating memories that still live on today. The final slide shows the building’s most recent chapter, the Pearl Dragon which is closed post fire and will now be a martial arts studio. A reminder that while the businesses and buildings may evolve, the stories they hold remain part of the fabric of Pacific Palisades.

As Palisades Village reopens on August 15, we look forward to a new chapter while honoring the places that shaped this community. Here’s to celebrating its return and the memories still to come.
