Sometimes the little comments make you smile the most. 💙🐚

I called Andy today to talk about a couple of “strategic” Hannah’s Pearl topics — whether it’s time to replace the TV on the dining porch and when we should change out the Pottery Barn rugs I’ve already purchased for three bedrooms, the upstairs sitting area and the Carriage House living room.

Yes… these are the things I think about. 😂

During our conversation, Andy told me the guests who checked out today said:

“This was the best one we’ve stayed in, and the attention to detail was extraordinary.”

That made me smile. 💕

We are very particular about Hannah’s Pearl because it isn’t just a rental property to us — it’s our home.

We furnish it with the things we use, the things we love and the things we would want surrounding us when we’re there. And we want our guests to feel that same level of comfort and care when they visit.

From the furnishings and linens to the kitchen, outdoor spaces and all those little details that probably get far more thought than anyone realizes — we want Hannah’s Pearl to feel special.

So when a guest notices the attention to detail, that might just be one of the best compliments we can receive. 💙

It means what matters to us is being felt by the people who stay there.

And yes… I’m still probably replacing that TV. 😂🏖️🐚

A LITTLE REMINDER FROM HANNAH’S PEARL 🏖️🤍

When you stay in a vacation rental, it’s easy to think of it simply as the place you rented for the week. But behind every privately owned vacation home is a real family who purchased it, furnished it, maintains it and has opened the door for others to enjoy.

Hannah’s Pearl is our home, and we truly love sharing it with our guests.

We also understand that accidents happen. Something may get broken or damaged during a stay — that’s part of owning a vacation rental, and we certainly don’t expect perfection from our guests.

Recently, however, we experienced something a little different.

A piece of furniture was damaged during a guest’s stay. The guest contacted our property manager, acknowledged the damage in text messages and explained that they had attempted to fix it. Unfortunately, the furniture could not be repaired, so a replacement had to be ordered.

The guest was then charged for the replacement — and disputed the charge with their credit-card company.

That’s the disappointing part.

Not that something was damaged. Accidents happen.

It’s that after acknowledging what happened, responsibility for making it right became an issue.

For us, this isn’t really about a piece of furniture. It’s about respect, honesty, accountability and how we treat something that belongs to someone else.

When you rent a privately owned vacation home, please remember that it really is someone’s home. The furniture, décor and everything inside were selected and purchased by someone who has trusted you to enjoy and care for their property.

So come to Hannah’s Pearl. Relax. Enjoy the beach. Swim in the pool. Make wonderful memories with your family. We want you to enjoy our home! 🌊☀️

And if an accident happens, simply be honest about it and take responsibility for making it right.

We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming majority of our guests who treat Hannah’s Pearl with care and respect. Those are the guests who make sharing our little piece of paradise so worthwhile. 🏡❤️

🇺🇸Happy 4th of July from Hannah’s Pearl! 🇺🇸

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, we’re reminded how blessed we are to enjoy the freedom to gather with family, make lifelong memories, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.

Whether we’re watching fireworks over the Gulf, walking the beach at sunrise, or simply soaking in the peaceful moments together, we’re grateful for this little slice of paradise we call Hannah’s Pearl.

May your day be filled with laughter, love, gratitude, and the freedom to enjoy the people who matter most.
