This week we took our little guy to Shed Aquarium with his tias, and it was such a special day. 🩵🐠

As a first-time mom, it’s been so fun finding family-friendly places to explore around the Chicago area, and this was definitely one of our favorites so far.

The exhibits were beautiful, there was plenty to see, and even at his age he was completely fascinated by all the colors, movement, and sea life. Watching everything through his eyes made the experience even more special. 🥹

If you’re looking for something fun to do with little ones this summer, I highly recommend adding it to your list!

One of my favorite things about the Chicago area is how many amazing family-friendly activities there are year-round. From museums and aquariums to parks, trails, and community events, there’s always something new to explore. 🤍

A lot of people assume nobody is moving right now because of mortgage rates… but that’s not actually what I’m seeing.

People are still buying and selling because life keeps moving:
✔️ growing families
✔️ job relocations
✔️ military moves
✔️ downsizing
✔️ marriage/divorce
✔️ wanting a different lifestyle

The “perfect” market rarely exists. The right move is usually about timing in YOUR life — not timing the market perfectly.

And with more inventory hitting the market lately, buyers in many areas finally have more options and negotiating power again.

A lot of Veterans don’t realize how powerful their VA home loan benefit actually is 🇺🇸🏡

Right now, with affordability still top of mind in today’s market, this matters more than ever:

✔️ You may be able to buy with $0 down
✔️ Many VA loans have NO PMI (saving hundreds monthly)
✔️ Closing costs can be lower than conventional loans
✔️ Active duty buyers may even be able to use BAH/BAS income to help qualify

The crazy part? Nearly half of Veterans think homeownership is out of reach — when they may already qualify for benefits that make buying more affordable than they think.

There are still so many myths floating around about VA loans:

❌ “You can only use it once”

It’s not Veterans Day.

It’s a day to remember the men and women who LOST their lives serving our country — the ones who never got to come home to their families. ❤️‍🩹

That’s why this day can feel so heavy for so many military families..

In today’s market, presentation matters SO much because buyers are scrolling through homes quickly online first.

Things that make a huge difference:
✔ lighting
✔ cleanliness
✔ decluttering
✔ listing photos
✔ pricing strategy
✔ overall first impression

You do NOT need a perfect HGTV house to sell successfully — but strategic preparation and marketing absolutely matter. 🏡
