The Florida Legislature appropriated $280 million in new funding for the My Safe Florida Home (MSFH) program this year to help Floridians harden their homes against storms and potentially reduce their insurance premiums. And earlier this week, the website was updated with new information in preparation of the program reopening.

offers updated step-by-step instructions that provide details on how the program works and eligibility requirements. There’s also a questionnaire to help property owners determine whether they’re eligible to receive a Hurricane Mitigation Grant as well as new videos providing walk-throughs of the entire process.
