🦷 2026 Dental Compliance Reminder 🦷

As we're moving through 2026, now is a great time for dental offices to review and update important employee and compliance records.

Some commonly overlooked items include:

βœ… Emergency contact forms
βœ… Employee health and vaccination records
βœ… Hepatitis B vaccination acceptance/declination forms
βœ… OSHA training documentation
βœ… Exposure incident procedures
βœ… PPE training records
βœ… Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) acknowledgment forms
βœ… Annual policy and protocol reviews

Keeping documentation current not only helps with compliance but also ensures your team is prepared when records are needed.

What forms or compliance tasks does your office review annually?

Hi everyone!

I recently launched Elevated Dental Education and am a California Dental Board-approved CE provider. While my focus is currently on infection control, HIPAA, and dental compliance education, I'm also working to expand my knowledge of OSHA, office compliance programs, practice systems, and regulatory requirements.

I'm curious to hear from office managers, compliance coordinators, consultants, and dentists:

If you were starting over and wanted to become highly knowledgeable in dental compliance and practice safety, what organizations, certifications, courses, conferences, or resources would you recommend?

I've already started exploring CDA, OSAP, AGD, and AADOM, but I'd love to hear what has been most valuable in your own professional development.

Also, for those involved in compliance consulting or office management, what do you wish more educators understood about the real-world challenges dental practices face?

Thank you in advance for any advice or recommendations. I'm always looking to learn from experienced professionals and continue growing in this field.

β˜€οΈ Happy Monday, Dental Friends!

Let's kick off the week with a quick question:

If you could improve ONE thing in your office today, what would it be?

🦷 Infection control?
πŸ“‹ Compliance and organization?
😊 Team communication?
⏰ Scheduling?
πŸ“š Training and CE?
πŸ’° Collections or production?

Drop your answer in the comments!

Sometimes the biggest opportunities for growth start with identifying the one thing that's causing the most frustration.

I'll go first: I think many offices would feel less stressed if they had a simple, organized compliance system that everyone could easily follow.

Let's hear yours! πŸ‘‡

Happy Saturday, dental friends! β˜•πŸ¦·

Quick question...

If you could wave a magic wand and make one compliance task disappear from your to-do list forever, what would it be?

πŸ“‹ OSHA

πŸ”’ HIPAA

πŸ’§ Waterline Logs

πŸ“ Employee Records

🦠 Infection Control Documentation

πŸ“š CE Tracking

Or something else?

I'd love to hear what takes up the most time in your office!

πŸ’§ Dental Unit Waterlines Matter

Maintaining dental unit waterlines isn't just about checking a boxβ€”it's about protecting patients and supporting a safe clinical environment.

Regular testing, proper treatment protocols, and consistent documentation all play a role in maintaining water quality.

One of the simplest compliance reminders I share with dental teams:

"If it wasn't documented, it didn't happen."

How does your office track waterline maintenance and testing?

Hi, I'm Ashley. πŸ‘‹

I realized I've never properly introduced myself here, so I wanted to share a little about who I am and why I started Elevated Dental Education.

I've spent more than 17 years in dentistry, and throughout that time I've seen firsthand the dedication, hard work, and heart that dental professionals bring to their patients every day.

Elevated Dental Education was created because I saw a need for practical support beyond simply checking compliance boxes. My goal is to help dental teams feel confident, organized, and prepared through continuing education, compliance support, and real-world resources they can actually use.

Whether it's CE courses, office compliance walkthroughs, customized compliance manuals, or team training, I truly enjoy helping practices build systems that support both their team and their patients.

Thank you for being here and following along on this journey. πŸ’š

I'd love to get to know you tooβ€”how long have you been in dentistry, or what do you love most about your role?

Starting a business has been one of the most exciting and terrifying things I've ever done.

For years I've worked in dentistry and have seen firsthand how overwhelming compliance can feel for dental teams. Most offices aren't trying to do anything wrongβ€”they're busy taking care of patients and running a practice.

That's one of the reasons I started Elevated Dental Education.

My goal isn't just to provide CE courses. I want to help dental teams feel confident in their systems, understand the "why" behind compliance requirements, and make the process feel less intimidating.

I'm grateful for all the encouragement, referrals, and support I've received so far. It means more than you know.

Here's to taking the leap and building something meaningful. πŸ¦·πŸ’š

🦷 Quick Question for Dental Professionals...

When was the last time your office compliance manuals were updated?

Not purchased.
Not placed on a shelf.

Actually reviewed and updated.

Many offices are surprised to learn that OSHA, Infection Control, HIPAA, and Dental Practice Act documentation should be reviewed and updated regularly to reflect current regulations, team changes, and office procedures.

A compliance manual isn't just paperworkβ€”it's a roadmap for protecting your patients, your team, and your practice.

So I'm curious...

πŸ‘‡ How does your office currently manage compliance updates?

β€’ Dedicated compliance coordinator?
β€’ Office manager?
β€’ Annual review process?
β€’ "We probably should look into that..."

No judgmentβ€”just a conversation. 😊
