Have you ever dreamt of starting your own backyard garden? Well now is as good a time to start as any! Check out the list below for some great tips and some things you will need as you start your first garden. 🧤 A pair of sturdy gardening gloves to prevent injury -- plus, you're going to get your hands dirty! 🌷 Plenty of seeds for whatever you'd like to grow -- read up on which plants need sunlight and which can go without, depending on the orientation of your home. You can also Google "seed starting calendar" to time your garden to seasonality.💦 ✂️ Basic gardening tools: think: a garden hoe, scuffle hoe, dirt rake, leaf rake, garden shovel, and a good pair of pruning shears. 👟 Make sure you have a pair of gardening clogs -- or tennis shoes that you don't mind getting dirty! 💦 Be prepared to water your garden regularly! A rule of thumb for watering is that plants need around one inch of water per week during the growing season (so if it's a rainy season, you might not need water as much!). Do you have a green thumb?
