I was lucky enough to be mentored by my first broker at Prudential California Realty. I gained valuable experience and knowledge from a well respected broker. With this new opportunity and my past experience and education, my learning curve was very different than most. I earned various awards each year of selling real estate but my passion was not the awards; it is helping people. During the last downturn of the market, I was given an opportunity to join Luther Burbank Savings, a local bank, and held the position of REO supervisor and Asset Manager. I managed $50-$75 million criticized assets. I also supervised all aspects of the disposition of the REO properties, short sales and other transactions involving attorneys. With about 85% of the portfolio being commercial and multifamily, and the remaining assets mostly high end single family homes all over California, my evaluation skills improved. I was held responsible to price the asset, while meeting deadlines to sell the properties, and limiting the liability of the bank. After reviewing hundreds of appraisals and broker's opinions of value, evaluating properties now comes second nature to me. As an asset manager, my negotiating and strategy skills improved; it was mandatory as I was constantly working through many different situations with each asset disposal.I have worked with various types of situations in regards to buyers and sellers; buyers who were moving up or relocating and many sellers who all have a different situation. I also negotiate buyout partnerships or divorce. I speak Spanish and work well with Spanish speaking residents of Sonoma County too. I was first introduced to real estate in College. I worked in the mortgage lending business during college. During this time, I also took real estate investment classes. Graduating college with a BS in Business Management, emphasis in Finance, I couldn't get away from numbers or people. I loved them both. After managing a small, private mortgage brokerage, I decided to expand my knowledge and see the other side of the value of real estate. I received my appraisal license in Utah but soon after took the opportunity to return to Sonoma County. I earned my real estate license in California in 2000 and my Broker's license in 2011. Personal Information:
Having been raised in Santa Rosa with my 8 siblings, I love Sonoma County. My husband and I have four children. We have lived in Healdsburg, Windsor, and Santa Rosa. We enjoy spending time watching our children participate in team sports, biking and hiking in Annadel, and camping. I also enjoy playing soccer and softball and most other sports. We are very involved in church, its youth programs, and scouting. We support the Epilepsy Foundation and look forward to other opportunities to be involved in the community.
