And just like that⌠my year as President of BNI Next Level is officially in the books đĽš
And what a freaking year it has been!
Personally and professionally, this year has been a wild ride. This role stretched me, taught me A LOT, and gave me a whole new appreciation for what can happen when you get 75 entrepreneurs from completely different businesses, backgrounds and personalities in a roomâand actually get everyone in the game.
When I stepped into this role, one of my biggest goals was to create more participation and recognition within our chapter.
Because BNI may be built around referrals, but it runs on relationshipsâand that only works when people participate. Show up. Have the 1-to-1. Send the referral. Celebrate someone elseâs win. Invite someone new into the room. And occasionally go along with whatever slightly ridiculous challenge your president comes up with đ
Iâve been asked a lot lately what I think made this term so successful, and my answer has been the same every time: my leadership team.
They didnât just take on titlesâthey showed up, bought in, brought ideas, took ownership and genuinely cared about making this chapter better. Together we created referral and 1-to-1 challenges, hosted some seriously fun events, and held five growth-focused Power Days to highlight incredible businesses and welcome new people into our community.
And while we do A LOT of business together, some of my favorite memories had nothing to do with sitting around a table at 7 AM.
Womenâs Sphere brunches. Halloween shenanigans. Our holiday party. Business development and education. Soooo many coffee dates. Celebrating birthdays by dressing up as each other đ. And learning that corralling 75 entrepreneurs at 7 AM should probably qualify as its own professional skill.
There is just SO much personality in this groupâand so much to learn from each other when you actually take the time to connect.
Iâm incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me, participated, trusted my ideas, rolled with the experiments, and had a little patience with me along the way. And to my leadership teamâyou guys SHOWED UP, and this year is proof of what can happen when the right people are committed to doing something together.
And somehow, in the middle of all the fun, coffee, costumes, events, referrals, 1-to-1s and early Wednesday mornings⌠we quite literally took Next Level to the next level.
Over the last 12 months, our chapter shared more than $12 MILLION in closed business. đ¤Ż
Thatâs $12 million generated through relationships, referrals, trust and a whole lot of people choosing to support each otherâs businesses. Pretty freaking incredible.
Iâm really dang proud of what we accomplished together, grateful for everything this year taught me, and officially ready to pass the torch to the next crew!
What a yearđĽ
