✨Home Sweet Home✨

Congratulations to my clients on their first home! I first met Sheena nearly 6 years ago when I helped her mom, Hansa, buy her home in Santa Rosa. Sheena, a college student at the time, was there every step of the way, from contract signings to design appts and the day her mom got her keys 🤍

Fast forward to this past July, Sheena reached out, saying she and her boyfriend, Jordan, were thinking about buying a home next year. She wanted to know if I could help. Of course, I said yes!

We had our Homebuyer Consultation on July 14th, where we discussed their needs, timeline, and how I could guide them on their path to homeownership.

The next time we met was at the open house for what turned out to be the only home we toured. Call it luck or love at first sight—it just made sense, and we moved quickly.

After reviewing the inspection and disclosures, we created a strategy to ensure we had enough time to gather key information, all without submitting a “non-contingent” offer. We secured the home w/ a considerable price reduction and negotiated terms that worked well for both parties.

✨ 6-12 months: the timeline they originally thought they’d need.

✨ 2 days: the time it took them to get prequalified.

✨ 2 weeks: the time it took for us to find “The One”.

✨ 54 days: from our first meeting to closing day.

✨ $36,000: price reduction negotiated.

✨ $6,000: in credits negotiated.

They worked with me as I created a solid plan, trusted my guidance throughout the process, and together, we successfully secured one of their greatest investments. There were a LOT of takeaways from this sale and doing your due diligence was definitely one of them.

What made this closing even more special was Sheena’s mom, Hansa, being there when Sheena and Jordan got their keys. A full circle moment for a wonderful family.

Just Sold! 🏡✨

This sale was a feel-good one for everyone involved and for all the right reasons.

I first met Chris and Deanna in 2017, the day after they lost their home in the historic Tubbs fire. Deanna was with their family the day we met, while Chris, a pilot for the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office’s Henry 1, was on duty during the fires. Both first responders, with Deanna being a nurse, lost their Parker Hill home like so many in our community. Chris saw their home burn while providing aerial support during evacuations and had to break the news to his wife.

The Tubbs Fire, one of the most destructive in California’s history, burned through Napa, Sonoma, and Lake counties, causing the most damage in Santa Rosa. I had the honor of representing Chris and Deanna in the purchase of their “sanctuary home” on Prospect Avenue. Despite the challenges, they moved forward with determination and rebuilt their lives.

Fast forward five-plus years, they moved to a new home, kept Prospect as an investment property for a couple of years and have now successfully sold it, making it one of their best investments.

Once they decided it was time to sell, we quickly put a plan in place. After their tenants moved out, we touched up and polished every inch of the home, staged it, and launched an effective marketing strategy. We received an over-asking price offer and sold it in three short weeks! We received great feedback from the buyers and their agent too, proving who you choose to work with truly matters!

Chris and Deanna exemplify perseverance in the face of uncontrollable circumstances. They moved ahead with courage and grace. Although I wish we had met under happier circumstances, I am grateful our paths crossed and honored to have helped them close this chapter of their journey.
