Hey California-based "Inflamed" fans, we need your help.

A state senate bill, penned by "Inflamed" protagonist Beth Eurotas Steffy, would require 72 hours of back-up power for assisted living facilities with 16 or more beds.

While SB 435 — https://legiscan.com/CA/bill/SB435/2025 — unanimously passed the Senate Human Services Committee last month, the next step is the Appropriations Committee and it’s proving to be quite a challenge.

The committee put the bill on “suspense” due to estimated fiscal impact based on the Department of Social Services analysis, and the committee will decide on May 23 if they will pass it out of this committee and to a floor vote.

It would help greatly if you can call one of these two state senators and use the short script below. If you live in Sonoma County, call Mike McQuire.
