Our ISO results are in! Your Chief and Firefighters worked very hard and diligently every day and night for three months straight to get these amazing results. We now are at a 3 / 3Y which is amazing and almost unheard of for small towns. What this means is that if you are within 5 statute miles from one of the stations and a hydrant within 1000 ft you are now a 3 we have two stations one in town and one out by Heyburn Lake (I will provide a map). This means that your home insurance can drop up to 8%-16% depending on your insurance provider. If less than 5 miles of the station, but more than 1000 ft of a hydrant you are now a 3y. It is possible if you were previously beyond 5 miles of the station in town but now are within 5 miles of the station at Heyburn you could drop from a 10 to a 3. This is a substantial drop and you should contact your insurance provider. The new numbers will go into effect October 1st 2020. At that time connect with your insurance provider to let them know your ISO SCORE has changed . The fire department spent a great amount of time and resources to fight for our town and rural area to get this improvement. The Fire Chief would like to thank the firefighters for taking time out of their day and from their families to help and a special thanks to Lt.Steve Gregory, Ff Clinton East and Lt/Training Officer Mikayla Staiger for going above and beyond in helping with all the chaotic paperwork and leg-work that had to be done. We hope you are as excited as we are with this extraordinary accomplishment!
