Char-Li Home Services LLC If you are looking for someone you can trust to be there for you
whenever you need, or someone you can call at any time, it is time
to switch to Char-Li Home Services.
Having someone you can trust to look out for one of your biggest
investments is one less thing to worry about.
Once a month or every week, it is up to you. Want food in the house
when you get home and the house freshened up, we have got you covered.
If you want to ship things ahead, no problem. It will be waiting for you when
you arrive. If you would like to rent out your property when you are not
using it, we are here to help. We will do in between cleanings and be the
contact person if any emergencies arise. We will swing by and just
make sure everything looks ok.
We believe in a simple approach to caring for one of your biggest
investments. If a problem arises while you are not here, no problem. If we
cannot fix it personally, we have access to reliable and reasonable service
people to cover almost anything. If you prefer, We will meet your
contractor and make sure everything is done the way you want. We do
not use contractors that we would not use in our own homes.

Still a major hurricane- still extremely dangerous, but it looks like the wind speeds are coming down a bit and hopefully will continue to drop- Every bit less is great. Storm surges still expected to be catastrophic- If for some reason you are still on the barrier islands- please leave now- Yes they are your homes, your things, but without you those things mean nothing! Stay safe

As the storm nears the Gulf Coast

Make sure you are prepared if you are staying- If you are leaving, please go as soon as possible Make sure you have a full tank of gas - some water and possible snacks- Traffic is increasing. If you do not have any storm protection on your house- Please go to a safe location - If you are near any major water follow ALL evacuation orders. We take care of our clients and help them get through anything that may happen while they are away. We are grateful the amazing clients that are wanting us to put ourselves before their properties We are happy that we have had the ability and the crews to get the houses as ready as we can,.

If you are a part time resident - When things are calmer and you have time, please consider reaching out to a local Home Watch Service to make life a little easier with a lot less stress

Update - noon, Oct. 8. Access to the barrier islands, including Casey Key, Manasota Key, Siesta Key, Longboat Key, will be closed at 7 p.m. today, Oct. 8. After 7 p.m., community members will continue to be able to get off the barrier islands, but no entry will be allowed back on until after the post-storm search and rescue mission is completed. When you leave the barrier islands, be sure to take everything that you and your family need for evacuation. Take enough supplies to last you and your family several days.

Uniformed personnel will be posted at the following intersections to ensure access is closed:

- John Ringling Causeway, just west of Golden Gate Point in Sarasota
- Siesta Drive Bridge, 1400 Siesta Drive in Sarasota
- Stickney Point Road Bridge, 1512 Stickney Point Road in Sarasota
- Blackburn Point Swing Bridge, 733 Blackburn Point Road in Osprey
- Albee Road Bridge, 913 Albee Road in Nokomis
- Manasota Beach Road Bridge, 2055 Manasota Beach Road in Englewood

UPDATE: Access to Bird Key is only for residents. Non-residents will be turned around at Sunset drive.

The John Ringling Causeway is now open to residents heading to Bird Key. There is not access to St Armands or Lido at this time. Our teams are working diligently to assess the situation, and we’ll continue to keep you updated as conditions change.

The Siesta Drive bridge is still closed, but our officers are on the scene working to reopen it as soon as possible.

My favorite tip before a storm- Take your largest containers and fill and freeze- Larger chunks take longer to melt - Fill your tub with water for flushing Fill containers with drinking water and most important - Don't forget the snacks

7 a.m., Sept. 25 - Expected impacts from Tropical Storm Helene may cause damaging winds and flooding. Evacuations called for residents in Level A, mobile homes and boats, and those in the following neighborhoods:

- Forked Creek in Englewood
- Curry Creek in Venice
- Hatchett Creek in Venice

Evacuation centers will open at noon.

Update, 9:50 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5: Sarasota County normal operations are closed Monday, Aug. 5.

Stay off the roads. Do not drive or walk through flood waters.

All Breeze Transit services (Breeze routes, Breeze OnDemand, and non-medical Breeze Plus trips) are suspended until further notice. Breeze Plus is making every effort to honor medically-necessary (dialysis) trips.

Residents in unincorporated Sarasota County will experience delays in curbside collection services for garbage, recycling and yard waste throughout the remainder of the week. Sarasota County’s Solid Waste staff is working closely with the franchise hauler to monitor the situation and collect materials as quickly and as safely as possible. More details on pickup schedules will be published to scgov.net and will be detailed in an additional post.

Sarasota County Fire Department Lifeguards are not on duty Monday, Aug. 5. Do not go near the water.
