If you have spring cleaning on the brain like me, you may have some gently used clothes or other items that will soon be looking for a new home. To help, here are a few local places I trust will make the most of your generous donations:
▪️Mother's Helping Mothers - an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization that provides basic necessities such as clothing for your entire family and baby items , free of charge to families in Sarasota, Manatee, and surrounding counties.
▪️Safe Children Coalition - a non-profit community based care provider of education, prevention, diversion and child welfare services including adoption and foster care.
▪️SPARCC - The Safe Place And R**e Crisis Center is a non-profit agency formed to serve survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their children.
▪️ReStore Habitat For Humanity - Manatee Habitat ReStore is a discount retail outlet that enables house-building directly in Manatee County through sales of new, used and surplus donated goods. The also have Our Next Mission which is a branch that supports disabled and at-risk Veterans in Manatee County.
