Sarasota Classical Preparatory Academy and Prodigy Early Learning have joined the Fruitville Road corridor for the 2026 to 2027 school year.

🚫⚡ Sarasota County is putting hyperscale data centers on hold.

County commissioners unanimously approved a 12 month moratorium on new hyperscale data center applications following an inquiry about a potential facility along Cattlemen Road.

Concerns include water use, electricity demand, noise, infrastructure, and the potential impact on surrounding communities. Some commissioners are even considering whether Sarasota County should permanently ban these massive facilities.

Golf cart living is one of the biggest lifestyle perks of living on Florida's Gulf Coast, but there are a few things most people don't know before they move here.

From grabbing coffee and meeting friends for dinner to heading to pickleball, community events, or live music, many residents end up using their golf cart more than their car. But not every neighborhood is golf cart friendly, and if you want to drive on many public roads, your golf cart generally needs to be converted into a Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) with required safety equipment, registration, and insurance, where permitted by local and state regulations.
