We are excited to announce we have completed THREE years in business!

Three years ago, we took a leap of faith and started ATHCA Surveying with a simple goal: provide reliable, responsive surveying services while building something meaningful for our community.

Since then, we’ve been fortunate to complete over 850 projects, grow to 4 field crews, and build a strong, dedicated team. Today, we have two Surveyors in Training developing their careers and another team member who is a survey graduate. Milestones that reflect not just growth, but the future of our profession.

Every project is a chance to contribute to responsible development, support local growth, and do work we’re proud of. We’re excited about what’s ahead and remain committed to raising the standard, investing in our people, and continuing to grow the right way.

We are Proud to announce that ATHCA Surveying has successfully completed the site survey for Sheltair’s new hangar complex at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ)!

This project marks a significant milestone in the transformation of SRQ’s northern development quad, and we’re thrilled to have been part of it. A few key facts to highlight:

The facility is a $40 million private-aviation investment slated to open later this year, bringing a high-end FBO terminal and hangar space to SRQ.

The complex will feature a beautiful 10,705 sq ft terminal plus two major commercial storage hangars: one about 29,655 sq ft (with ~5,940 sq ft office space) and another approx. 16,875 sq ft (with ~3,465 sq ft office).

Sheltair is also looking ahead to future expansions: additional large hangars and a 60,000 sq ft maintenance facility are already planned.

SRQ itself is growing rapidly and diversifying beyond commercial airline traffic, the airport is building out its general aviation and aviation-business ecosystem. For example, the airport’s non-airline tenant revenue grew significantly through industrial aviation development.

We’re honored to have contributed to the survey phase, helping ensure that the new hangar and facility meet the highest standards of accuracy and readiness for construction. The aviation community at SRQ is clearly gearing up for the next chapter, and we’re excited to be part of it.

Prestancia, a member of TPC network operated by the PGA Tour is situated in Palmer Ranch, Sarasota. It has emerged in the late 20th century as a premier residential community. The meticulous planning and ex*****on of Prestancia's layout required the expertise of land surveyors and civil engineers to ensure the harmonious integration of natural features with architectural design.

We are excited to be working with this 550-acre community to provide surveying to assist with their continuing operations and master planning.
