The definition of “anniversary” states:

“the date on which an event took place in a previous year.”

Well 12 years ago today I devised an elaborate way to propose to the woman I loved and wanted to spend the rest of my life with. (She had me at hello…😍)

With said planning, my chosen photographer and angel of awesomeness Corey Cagle was on the terrace of the Grove Park Inn and captured the images below. Paula had NO CLUE.

Once Paula McCabe said “I do”, I was eager to get the wedding plans underway. I’d waited my whole life for this. On 11/16/12 we became Mr. and Mrs. McCabe!

Now, in 2024 I’m appreciating my blessings with two adult step daughters (Ryann Vogel and Danielle Vogel) and a goofy son of ours named Blake.

I can’t imagine a life as filled with fun, laughter and memories as the one that I have that officially began 12 years ago today on our Proposal-anniversary!

This was a great night, one that humbled me as a parent.

Second, seeing these amazing kids in wheelchairs and without hearing abilities make me feel fortunate that my kiddo is as blessed as he is.

Supporting those who support others is a truly easy choice.
