A warm welcome. Attention to detail. Anticipating needs before they’re asked.

Those small touches often leave a bigger impression than the grandest amenities.

It’s funny how the things we remember most are rarely the biggest—they’re the ones that made us feel genuinely cared for.

One of the questions I get most from guests is, “Where should we go for a great breakfast?”

Two local favorites I recommend again and again are Perq and Two Chefs Market & Bistro.

Perq is knowing for expertly sourced coffee beans, delicious avocado toasts and breakfast sandwiches, while Two Chefs Market & Bistro has built a loyal following for its fresh ingredients and house-made specialties like Bananas Foster French toast.

Both are just minutes from Magnolia House and are perfect for a leisurely Sarasota morning before heading to Siesta Key or downtown.

These are the kinds of local gems I love sharing with guests—and just one more reason I always say the best Sarasota experiences happen like a local.

Did some very serious “research” last night at Ocean Prime… and it absolutely delivered.

If you go: order the beef tartare, stone crab legs, and the East Coast oysters. And start with a bourbon on an Ocean Prime imprinted logo ice cube.

I am officially adding this one to my Magnolia House approved list.
