Ugh! After seeing ad after ad in my newsfeed about AI generated headshots I actually considered it. It’s been eight years since my last professional photos and I’m overdue. Then I started thinking about how important small businesses are to our local economy. I have a lot of entrepreneur friends and we support each other both online and in person, so why shouldn’t headshots be the same? Real photos feel more authentic. Here’s where philosophy meets reality. Picking out outfits is hard! Thinking about hair and makeup is hard! Here’s where real people make the difference… I called the photographer and asked for some direction. She enthusiastically and gave me all kinds of great tips and advice and made me feel more than capable of picking out the right clothes and getting ready for the shoot. I spent a little time at some local stores picking out outfits and you know what? I don’t even like shopping and I had fun 😉🛍️
