I keep hearing the same thing from Sarasota buyers lately:
“I really don’t want HOA fees.”
And in Sarasota, that doesn’t mean you have to give up location, space, or the Florida lifestyle you’re looking for.
Here are 5 areas I’d have on the list if little to no mandatory HOA fees are a priority:
🌴 Arlington Park: close to Downtown Sarasota, Southside Village and Sarasota Memorial, with a mix of charming older homes, renovated properties and newer construction.
🌊 Gulf Gate: an established neighborhood just minutes from Siesta Key, with larger yards, a laid-back feel and easy access to restaurants, shopping and the beach.
🏡 South Gate: centrally located with beautiful mid-century homes, mature landscaping and quick access to downtown, Siesta Key and Southside Village.
✨ Pinecraft: a unique Sarasota neighborhood with an old-Florida feel, central location and a mix of homes that can offer more flexibility than many master-planned communities.
🌿 Desoto Acres: think bigger lots, more privacy and room to spread out, all while still being close to the conveniences of Sarasota.
These areas are all very different, which is exactly why I always come back to this: the right neighborhood depends on how you actually want to live.
No HOA might be high on your list, but so might walkability, proximity to the beach, a bigger yard, space for a boat, or being close to downtown.
If one of these sounds like it could fit what you’re looking for, DM me the neighborhood name and I’ll send you more details.
