July market report- A few things to note. Lately people have been thinking prices have dropped. Overall, the stats do not support that except for condos/townhomes in Manatee County which have slightly dropped year over year. Prices are up in Sarasota and Manatee County. Homes are selling. Inventory is down since last summer. That drives price increases. So what does this tell you? That even though it is summer and interest rates have not dropped, buyers are buying. What I am seeing though is that buyers want updated homes that are priced right. Homes that need some updates or are priced too high may sit on the market.
