Are schools important to you for your next home purchase? It can usually be a simple yes or no answer depending on your stage of life.
Maybe you’ve got young children going into elementary school in a couple of years or maybe you’ve realized the public high school isn’t a right match for your child. And that’s why you plan to make “buying for schools” or “good schools” a priority for this home search.
Or, on the other hand, you’ve already raised your children or don’t have any children so schools can be crossed off your search list.
This week’s article, What You Need to Know About Buying for Schools, provides a helpful checklist of tips you can use to help you navigate when you’re “buying for schools” and even for determining what you consider a “good school” or what’s best for your family.
Fair housing laws prevent me from giving my opinion about schools and school districts so it’s important for you to do your own research well be-fore you go house hunting.
My goal with the information I’m providing today is to help jumpstart your research — where to go to get information, what questions to ask, and who to talk to in order for you to make the best decision for you and your children.
This is week seven of my How to Find the Perfect Home for You and Your Budget Series. I’ve included today’s topic since “buying for schools” is a key criteria for many homeowners with children who are looking to move on to a new home.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you or anyone you know has any questions about how to find the perfect home for them that doesn’t blow the budget, I’d love to help!
As always, I am your go-to resource for all things real estate.
