Job seekers interested in working at historic Saratoga Race Course this summer are invited to attend a three-day job fair hosted by the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) The fair will be held at the 1863 Club on Thursday, May 19, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, May 20, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Those interested in working at Saratoga Race Course will be able to apply for positions at the annual job fair, including roles with NYRA, Integrated Staffing, Levy Restaurants, Mazzone Hospitality and Union Square Events, among others.
Opportunities include hospitality ambassadors, cashiers, parking attendants, ticket scanners, betting clerks, parking attendants, security guards, porters, cooks, waitstaff, cleaners, warehouse workers and more.
Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and have New York State Certified Working Papers. Prospective security guards, cashiers and betting clerks must be at least 18 years of age to apply and security guards must have a high school degree or GED. All applicants must present a photo ID and Social Security card or I-9 alternative.
Historically, the annual meet at Saratoga Race Course supports the employment of more than 2,000 full-time, part-time and seasonal workers.
Highlighted by the 153rd renewal of the Grade 1, $1.25 million Runhappy Travers on August 27 and the Grade 1, $1 million Whitney on August 6, the 2022 summer meet at historic Saratoga Race Course will open on Thursday, July 14, and continue through Monday, September 5.
Following the four-day opening weekend, racing will be conducted five days a week, Wednesdays through Sundays, apart from the final week, when the meet will conclude on Labor Day.
