Can you believe that there’s only 90 days left of 2023??

As soon as October hits it’s easy to start reflecting on everything you’ve done (or not yet done) this year. And frustratingly so, we often pat ourselves on the back for what we’ve done for just a few seconds and then immediately fixate on what we haven’t.

So before you get swept up in these last few months in the cozy, craziness of the holidays, busy schedules, and time spent with loved ones, we invite you to think about your real estate goals!

What did you find to be difficult about it this year? Were there certain circumstances that you felt held you back? Any roadblocks beyond your control?

And on the other hand…

What HAVE you accomplished this year? Did you buy a new home? Sell your old one? Invest in a rental property? Put money towards buying? Create a plan for selling?

Staging your home (or lack thereof) can sometimes influence the price you can get for your home…

Instead of sitting back and hoping for the best, you can take advantage of the usual benefits of staging and create a cozy atmosphere to get buyers excited about the now (the upcoming holiday season).

When you do this you’ll increase the likelihood of buyers putting in a worthy offer on your home because they’ll already be envisioning themselves in it during the coming months!

Here are a few things you can lend your attention to…

1. Embrace the fall ambiance during showings! Set out seasonal blankets & and decorations, and don’t forget to light those yummy fall candles to create a welcoming space.

2. Oftentimes people forget that first impressions are everything, and that starts with the exterior of your home. Rake fallen leaves, grab chrysanthemum from the local farm, and add a festive wreath to your front door.

3. Highlight any cozy indoor spaces you may have. That can be a reading nook, fireplaces, and even your kitchen where buyers are going to start imaging gathering during the holidays and colder months.

4. With days being shorter, lighting is crucial. Make sure your home is well-lit, both inside and outside, to keep the space inviting. If you’d like, you can also use ambient lighting to continue to create a warm atmosphere!
