While great weather, tech jobs, and proximity to beaches and mountains make the Bay area desirable, to understand the high prices we just need to go back to Econ 101 - there are simply more people wishing to buy a home than there are homes on the market. Check out the chart below that shows how many single family homes are currently for sale (excluding pending/contingent) in San Jose and all of Santa Clara County compared to other areas with similiar population numbers. If you have been thinking about purchasing a home, talk to a lender about getting pre-approved so you'll be ready to act quickly if you find a home that's perfect for you.

If you have the time and space in your home and heart for a new pet please consider adopting from the City of San Jose's animal shelter to get more wonderful animals out of the stress of shelter life and into a warm, loving home this holiday season!

Look at this Community. We are already starting strong thanks to your help. Since Dec. 5 we have had 16 dog that were officially adopted.

We are so grateful that our community has stepped up for our shelter dogs and we are so excited to see how many dogs we can get out of the shelter and into furever homes this holiday season. We are super hopeful that we can meet our goal of 50 DOGS ADOPTED by Dec. 31.

Just a reminder that you DO NOT have to be a resident of Santa Clara County to adopt from us. So, and let’s get more dogs into homes.

I attended a fantastic program on fraud prevention hosted by AAUW San Jose yesterday and learned a lot! The scammers are getting more savvy every day, be sure to check out the attached resources for more information to make sure you're prepared!

Also, the speaker who was with the FBI stressed the importance of reporting cyber crime, since the more reports they get about a particular scam the easier it is to track them down. Visit ic3.gov for more information or to file a report.
