So many clients and friends ask if they should list and market their home over the Holidays. There are MANY advantages to doing so.

First and foremost, people looking for a home during the holidays are SERIOUS BUYERS!

Homes are generally more inviting and beautiful when decorated for the holidays. Buyers are more emotional during the Holidays and once they are emotionally attached to purchase your home they will be more likely to negotiate and close. Many employers bring in new staff to start in January, so having your home on the market through the Holidays will allow you to capture that market.

There are many things your REALTOR can do to accomodate your Holiday schedule needs like, restrict showings for your big Family Holiday dinner, a post closing occupancy, and many more. Keep those lines of communication open with your REALTOR and be sure that you both have a clear understanding of the expectations, as the REALTOR is a pro at this, and can offer all sorts of solutions.
