Built in 1907, the Karrh Mansion has stood as one of Swainsboro’s architectural landmarks for more than a century.

Over four years, its owners carefully restored and updated the home while honoring its history. Original floors hidden beneath carpet and laminate were refinished, historic bathroom fixtures from a 1932 renovation were preserved, and every repair and upgrade was completed in accordance with historic preservation guidelines from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the National Park Service.

Inside, historic Charleston colors, antique furnishings, and hand-sewn window treatments helped bring the home back to life.

The goal was never to change the Karrh Mansion.
It was to ensure that a piece of Georgia history could continue telling its story for generations to come.
