While speaking at today’s Town Hall meeting, Chief Tiffany Hayes said that while “Orange Crush” promoters have only secured a permit for April 19th, Public Safety agencies are preparing for the possibility of a multi-day event.

“You will see a huge presence of law enforcement on the island.” Hayes said. “They will be working alongside us and helping us out. They will start arriving on Thursday, and they will not leave until we clear them to leave…”

She continued, “You will see a Road Safety Checkpoint. We plan three of these throughout the year, and this will be our second…” She later added that an official announcement about the checkpoint would be released as the date got closer.
