đź’Ąđź’ĄBig changes in Real Estate industry! đź’Ąđź’Ą
👉🏼Starting August 17th, before viewing a home with a REALTOR®️, you'll need to sign an agreement. Under the new rule, REALTORS®️ cannot unlock a door for you without a signed document in place.
You'll be asked to sign either an Exclusive Buyer Agency Agreement. These forms define the relationship between you and your agent, including their duties. Although we’d prefer not to enforce this, it’s a requirement we must now follow.
Choosing the right agent is a big decision. We will be setting an appointment with you to discuss this with you and answer any questions before asking you to sign. The agreement can be set to expire according to your preference—whether that’s a day, a week, or a month—so you have the flexibility you need. We can also make it for a specific property.
Please understand, if your REALTOR®️ asks you to sign before a showing, they’re simply following the new rule. This is a nationwide rule. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
