The Savannah Area REALTORS® Association May Luncheon was filled with valuable nuggets of knowledge focused on educating and assisting our clients on their journey to homeownership! A huge thank you to our amazing speakers from CHSA, the City of Savannah, and Guild Mortgage for sharing such educational information.

The ladies did an outstanding job explaining the many down payment assistance programs available to buyers throughout the city, county, and state. They also helped dispel many of the myths that have discouraged buyers — and even some REALTORS® — from taking advantage of these incredible opportunities.

Many REALTORS® in attendance had never heard of programs such as GA Dream, City of Savannah Dream Makers, the Georgia Dream “Peach” Program, or the Federal Home Loan Bank Grant (FHLB) Program. These programs can provide down payment assistance and help with closing costs, making the dream of homeownership more achievable for so many families.

Education is power, and today’s luncheon was a reminder that when we know better, we can serve our clients better!
