I usually don't post anything about my closings but I have to about this one.
One of my very first clients, 30 years ago, referred her granddaughter to me. She and her boyfriend have a 7 month old little girl. Both work full time and both are in nursing school. Needless to say first time home buyers with very little cash for a down payment.
They were pre approved with Carol Schretter Bank South for a down payment assistance program. Their price range was and is a tough one. Very few properties that are in liveable condition under 220k.
Long story short we found a great house in Pembroke, that had just been renovated. We put in an offer and the seller accepted and was thrilled that he was selling to first time buyers and was very helpful with closing costs, repairs and patience with the closing process.
These kids, early 20's, have such a bright future ahead. They are smart, eager, hard working and 2 of the nicest youngins I've met.
