Recent inspection. Home was renovated and upgraded the roof decking with spray foam insulation- but the old bat insulation was left in place in the attic. This needs further investigation as it certainly can be a reservoir for microbial matter and/ or mold. The room directly below this had an odd smell and elevated mold spores in a walk in closet.

Upgrades are wonderful - but homeowners need to understand how they affect overall building science and potential problems.
