Termite Swarmer. Termites and Carpenter Ants grow wings in the spring and fly away to look for other conducive conditions needed to start a new colony. We have 2 types of Termites here in the Northwest, along with Carpenter Ants & 2 species of Wood Beetles.
The most common conducive conditions I come across are missing v***r barrier in crawlspace, earth to wood contact around the exterior of homes, and firewood storage. However, any conditions allowing wood moisture to exceed about 20% is a conducive condition.

WOW! Going on 8 years since hanging up my tool bags to become a Real Estate Inspector. I still remember how nervous I was on my first inspection like it was yesterday. I was confident in my knowledge and training, however the pressure of helping a family with the largest purchase of their life weighed on me. I never took my roll lightly and have always made it an ongoing mission to bettering myself, my services, and my equipment, to give my clients absolute confidence & trust.

I'm REALLY excited to see what this year has to bring. Let's Go!
