$5,000 a month either way… but where could you be in 10 years?

Renting and owning can both make sense depending on your situation. But when the monthly numbers start looking similar, it’s worth understanding what each option could mean long term.

In this example, we looked at $5,000/month and what 10 years could look like - including principal paydown and an assumed $200,000 in appreciation for the ownership scenario.

The right answer isn’t always “buy.”
It’s knowing your numbers.

It was great meeting Joe Siano (), a Realtor in Denver, Colorado, today. We had a chance to connect, talk real estate, and get to know each other as I continue building relationships with great agents across the country.

The goal is simple: when a client, friend, or family member is moving somewhere new, I want to be able to connect them with an agent I personally know and trust.

It’s not just about having a name in another market - it’s about having a relationship.

On a recent visit to my hometown library in Briarcliff Manor, I stumbled upon a book called This Is Westchester, highlighting the different towns throughout the county, including what homes cost back in the 1950s.

What caught my attention? Even back then, people were talking about how difficult it was for young people to afford a home.

Sound familiar?

A lot has changed since the 1950s, but apparently some real estate conversations haven’t.

And one thing is certain: those home prices are pretty incredible to look back on today.
