New Yorkers will see a calmer rental market in 2024, after inventory shortages led to strong competition for rentals this year. As inventory rises further next year, citywide rent growth will slow, although a sharp drop is unlikely due to still-limited inventory compared to pre-pandemic levels.

That said, New York City renters will find relief in the most unexpected place: Manhattan. Asking rents will likely come down from high levels in the borough amid rising inventory, as landlords will have more reason to compete with each other on prices to attract tenants.

I love New Year’s Eve as it rounds out the holiday season and rings in new beginnings. As time has gone and our family has grown, our NYE celebrations have changed year over year. For the past couple of years we have made a tradition of staying in so we can start the year off right with our little ones.

But, spending New Year’s Eve at home doesn’t mean the night has to be any less glamorous or filled with sparkle. I am a fan of both a night in wearing my most over the top PJs or dressing it up in a festive mini dress. Either way, adding some sparkle always makes it special.
