Heavy rain and high winds are on the way. A few minutes of prep now can save a lot of trouble later. 🌧

Before the storm:�
✅ Bring in or secure patio furniture, umbrellas, planters, bins and toys�
✅ Close and lock windows, doors, garage doors, and gates�
✅ Clear gutters and drains where it's safe to do so�
✅ Test your sump pump and move valuables off basement floors�✅ Charge phones and backup batteries and keep flashlights handy�
✅ Park away from large trees when possible�

Know where your water shutoff, electrical panel, and gas shutoff are, and keep your insurance info and key service contacts (plumber, electrician, tree service, utilities) within reach.

Away from home? Ask someone to check the property before and after and make sure your agent, property manager or a neighbor knows how to reach you.

During and after: stay indoors, avoid flooded roads, keep clear of downed lines and photograph any damage before cleanup.
