Safe Inc. of Schenectady is excited to welcome Katherine Schofield as our new Executive Director. Katherine joined us in January 2026 and brings more than a decade of nonprofit leadership experience dedicated to children and families.

Katherine previously served in leadership roles with organizations including Northeast Parent & Child Society and Youth Research Inc., where she worked to advance programs that support vulnerable youth and families. Throughout her career, Katherine has demonstrated a deep commitment to mission-driven work, supporting young people, and meaningful community impact.

Katherine earned a Master of Social Work from Columbia University, providing a strong foundation in social justice, evidence-based practice, and organizational leadership.

As Executive Director, Katherine is focused on building upon Safe Inc. of Schenectady’s foundation, strengthening community partnerships, and advancing innovative strategies that support youth experiencing homelessness and vulnerability. We look forward to the leadership and vision Katherine will bring to Safe Inc. of Schenectady.
