Scottsdale sunshine is not a myth. People here are genuinely happy and you feel it everywhere. Strangers wave at you on morning walks. Baristas actually mean it when they say "have a good day."
I grew up in Rockford, Illinois. This is not normal. People are not as friendly when its cold out.
