My mother, A Being of Great Beauty, Service, Grace, Kindness, Humility, and Laughter

January 28,1928 - January 10, 2021

Happy New Year friends & family...

It is with deep sadness that I write to share the loss of a link in the chain of all our destinies: the passing of our mother/grandmother/greatgrandmother/cousin/friend, Peggy Jean Anthony.
Peggy slipped away from this world peacefully without any medication, surrounded by family and friends at home on Sunday, January 10, 2021 just 18 days away from her 93rd birthday.

Home was definitely where Mother's heart was, and to be there with her grandchildren on Christmas, surrounded in a circle of love, prayers and music, brought her great pleasure and was a huge blessing to us all.

She had seven children and loved each and every one of us equally, she was a woman of humility, a humanitarian, sang to the broken-hearted in prisons, taught Sunday School, sang in church regularly - well because she mastered Doris Day at a very young age lol. She prayed and comforted the sick in need, was always alive and outdoors, never sitting or watching tv. She’d go from door to door singing to her neighbors, pulling their weeds, and watering down their dogs from the AZ heat. She lived a selfless life and never complained or spoke of a bad word about anyone. She was the Sheriff in Wickenburg for many, many years. Helped in the Gold Rush. Always making time for ones in need. If she ever saw someone sad, she’d say something funny to cheer them up, and they’d start laughing! She was a Mother Theresa to so many. I am so fortunate to have had her for my mother and for her teachings. She taught us respect, taught us to be tough, work hard for everything we have, and always, always be grateful, giving, and kind.

Rest In Peace, Mama! I love you to the moon!
