The real estate market is always shifting, which can make it difficult to keep up. So how do you shift in a shifting market so that you’re setting the right tone with your clients? Over the next few Monday's we will be looking at some helpful tips and tricks to make sure you’re always ahead of the market. The second way this week is.....

2. Do what is right, always.

Success lies in your daily routine. Reflect over the last 3 to 6 months and the tips above and consider the following four questions: What do you need to keep doing? What do you need to be more intentional about? What do you need to stop doing? What do you need to start doing? Get real with yourself and answer honestly. If you do that, there’s no doubt that you’ll be successful when another shifting market comes along.

Be a Researcher

Now is the time to ask ALL the questions! 🧐 Before, during and after the purchase of a home there are sure to be many questions (even if you’ve done this before!). So ask away! No question is too silly.

Make sure you know things like...school district ratings, history of home maintenance and remodels, building permits, your exact monthly mortgage commitment, supplemental taxes, what the neighbors are like, anything special about the neighborhood, and anything else you can think of!

An excellent real estate agent 🤓 will help you find the answers to these questions and help you come up with questions you might not have thought to ask.

Always Be Ready to Show
Being “Show Ready” can be annoying! I get it, but that’s what you sign up for when you are selling a valuable asset.

Two things to keep in mind…
1: Be available! Try to accommodate all the showings. It may be disruptive to your schedule but it won’t last long.

2: Keep the home pretty clean at all times so that when a showing is scheduled on short notice you can quickly tidy up and be ready to go. Home buyers don’t want to see dirty dishes, toys strewn about, or papers everywhere.

When communicating with FSBO’s, what’s your plan? Here’s one plan that might work for you:

1) Make an initial phone call ☎️
2) Send an IOV (item of value) – This could be one of many things like information on staging, safety tips for FSBO’s, or ways to see if a Buyer is qualified 📬
3) Rinse and repeat several times
