Adjustable mortgage rates have become very popular recently... The application rate is actually the highest it's ever been since 2007. Is that a cause for concern? Experts are saying no.

Lending standards are much more thorough compared to what they were leading up to the crash which economists factored in to say there is no reason to panic. Jeff Tucker, senior economist at Zillow said, "It's something to keep an eye on but, at the moment, it doesn't look concerning to us.”

A New York-based company just bought 55% of Barrett Jackson for $248,725,003 in cash!! The company that made this huge deal was IMG, a sports, media, and fashion management company. Craig Jackson the CEO of Barrett Jackson told the Phoenix Business Journal he's always wanted to partner with IMG and he actually modeled his business after them!

Things are starting to look better for buyers! Inventory is making a huge comeback so that means more options and less competition. AZ is also seeing a pretty significant amount of price cuts...

Active listings with price drops reached 44% in June! That's the highest we've seen in over three years! Even sales prices are dropping. In July, the median sales price dropped from $480,000 to $457,500!

If you're thinking about buying, it may be good timing to get the ball rolling. Seller-paid closing costs are coming back as well as other potentially beneficial negotiating tools that could make purchasing more feasible than expected. Lenders are also getting creative & rolling out programs to help with the interest rates that may be a fit for you!
