To everyone who’s reached out over the past month, thank you. I haven’t had the chance to respond to each message, messenger, call, or post individually, but please know I’ve read them and our family is deeply grateful. It’s been over a month since my dad disappeared. We continue to work closely with the Alaska State Troopers and every agency involved. While we still don’t have the answers we’re praying for, what we have found is an outpouring of love, kindness, and compassion. My dad has been part of the Wasilla and Willow community for nearly 60 years, and your kindness, friends, neighbors, even strangers, has reminded us how special our community is. Please keep him and our family, in your prayers, and if anyone has information, no matter how small, please contact the Alaska State Troopers. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us, and for surrounding our family with your support.

We won’t forget it!

We moved to Whittier, Alaska in 1969. My Dad was a heavy Equipment pile driver for the Alaska Railroad. We put up Dad’s missing person fliers in Whittier yesterday. With the busy holiday weekend here, we are hopeful we will get more leads to help us find my Dad.

❤️ In the Mat-Su Valley, neighbors become friends, friends become family, and somehow, everyone knows someone who knows someone.
Donald "Butch" Sapp is still missing, and his family is holding onto hope that the right person will recognize his face, remember a detail, or know something that helps bring him home.
Please take a moment to read his family's story, share it with your friends, and keep your eyes open. Sometimes one share is all it takes to reach the person who has the missing piece.

UPDATE:

Me and my family want to thank the community for everything they have done so far to bring my Dad home. Please continue to pray and be mindful of anything you hear. We are grateful!

If you have any information, no questions asked, please DM me, my family, or law enforcement. Case # AK26060015

My Dad has not been found. Rain has hindered search and rescue. And, our family continues to ask for any information anyone may have as to his disappearance. We would be extremely grateful.

This is heart-wrenching for us, and all who knew him. My dad was the kindest, most generous man I know.

And no my Dad does not have dementia. Very sound mind and was cutting wood with his chainsaw the week of his disappearance.

There have been false rumors that he went to Fairbanks or has been found. This is not true. My Dad was a homebody living his best life on 35 acres.

Think a newly built home is out of reach? It might cost less than you’d think. Compared to an existing home, new homes save buyers an average of about $25,000 over their first 10 years. Because having a brand-new roof, HVAC system, and water heater means lower bills and fewer repairs early on. Ready to see if a newly built home is right for you? Let's look at what's available in your budget.
