Here's where to buy if you want to be "close to everything " OR "far away & quiet"

One of the first questions I ask every new buyer is "Do you want to be in the middle of everything…or do you want to feel like you got away from everything?"

I’ve had buyers think they wanted "quiet" & then realize they hated being 25 minutes from dinner. I’ve also had buyers think they wanted to be in the action and then call me 2 months later saying they kind of wish they would have picked a slower part of town.

IF YOU WANT TO BE CLOSE TO EVERYTHING....these are the communities that I would recommend:
▪DC RANCH / SILVERLEAF
This is about as central as it gets in North Scottsdale while still feeling upscale. You’re right by Kierland Commons, Scottsdale Quarter, tons of restaurants & quick access to the 101. This is a great fit for my 2nd home buyers who don’t want to spend their trip in the car.

▪GAINEY RANCH / MCCORMICK RANCH
If you want even more convenience...this is it. You’re closer to Old Town Scottsdale, surrounded by golf, walking paths & you’ve got grocery stores and restaurants EVERYWHERE!
This is one of the easiest areas to “live like a local” immediately. A lot of my clients who don’t want to overthink anything end up here for the convenience. NOTE - you are not going to find "views" here.

▪GRAYHAWK
Grayhawk is the spot if you love the location of DC Ranch but it is above your price point. You’re still close to everything at a lower price per square foot.
This is one of those “safe choice” communities that works for a lot of my buyers. Unfortunately, the inventory is often lower in here.

▪LAS SENDAS (FOR MESA-GATEWAY ACCESS)
This community if FANTASTIC for my buyers that flying in and out of Mesa-Gateway Airport. Las Sendas has some great views at a lower price per square foot than Scottsdale. It also puts you directly between both airports.

These are some others to check out if you're looking to be close: Scottsdale Mountain, Ancala Country Club, Stonegate, Scottsdale Ranch, McCormick Ranch, Windgate Ranch, Pima Acres & Ironwood Village. Desert Ridge has a great location BUT...is not always a fit for my 2nd home buyers.

IF YOU WANT TO BE AWAY FROM EVERYTHING....these are the communities that I would recommend:
▪DESERT MOUNTAIN
This is the definition of “away from everything” in the BEST way. Once you’re inside, you don’t really leave....and don't want to!

Fountain Hills is a completely different vibe! It truly feels like a small town...you’ve got main street down by the fountain, great local restaurants & a much slower pace.
You’re about 25 to 35 minutes from the airport and main Scottsdale hotspots. You will find some AMAZING views out here & a little more value for your money.

▪GOLD CANYON
I believe that Gold Canyon is one of the most overlooked areas for my buyers who want views & value! You’re definitely out there, no question about it! But that’s exactly why people love it! Big mountain views, less traffic & you can get a lot more house for your money compared to Scottsdale. Golf course facing homes are significantly less expensive out here. You’re about 40 to 50 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport so it’s not for someone who wants to be bouncing back & forth all the time.

These are some others to check out if you're looking to be farther out: Sereno Canyon, Adero Canyon, StoryRock, FireRock, Lone Mountain, Verde River(my buyers love it out here), Whisper Rock, Winfield, Sonoran Foothills, Vistancia, Tramonto, Desert Hills, Estrella Mountain Ranch & Anthem.

If you’re only here a few weeks out of the year, most of my buyers are happier being closer to everything.

If you spend months out of the year or you truly want an escape, the quieter communities start to make more sense!
