Hey! Grab a cup of coffee and let’s get to know each other…
I grew up in Central California, where family, hard work, and strong values shaped who I am. My younger brother, sister, and I were 3 of 37 first cousins on my mom’s side of the family, so our family gatherings were unforgettable. From an early age, I learned the importance of communication, preparation, accountability, goal setting, and following through on commitments - principles that still guide my life and business today.
I started running track in the 7th grade, and by the end of middle school, I had broken every sprint record at my school. That dedication eventually led me to compete nationally in high school, traveling across the United States. Athletics taught me discipline, consistency, mental toughness, and how to perform under pressure - skills that later became invaluable in both leadership and real estate negotiations.
In college, my focus shifted toward personal growth and serving others. Thanks to an incredible history instructor, I developed a passion for education and originally planned to become a high school teacher and coach. I loved the idea of helping people grow, build confidence, and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach.
In the spring of 1994, I accepted a position with Intel Corporation in New Mexico during one of the most exciting periods in the technology industry. It was an incredible opportunity to work for a company helping shape the future.
Then life took an unexpected turn.
In November of 1995, my grandfather passed away - a heartbreaking moment for our family that unknowingly set the course for the rest of my life. On my return flight to New Mexico from California, I met a young woman traveling to Las Vegas to attend her own grandfather’s funeral. What started as a simple conversation turned into months of phone calls and handwritten letters. Before long, she moved to New Mexico, and shortly after, we were married.
Not long after, life brought us to Las Vegas, where my wife entered the real estate industry to help a family member sell new construction homes. At the time, I was attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, pursuing my education degree - but I found myself increasingly drawn to real estate.
The more I learned about the business, the more I realized it aligned perfectly with my original mission in education: helping people improve their lives, build wealth, and create opportunities for their families. Real estate became more than a career - it became a way to genuinely impact people’s futures.
I earned my real estate license in June of 1999, and by 2001 I had reached Top Producer levels. In early 2002, I stepped into leadership as a branch trainer, mentoring and developing more than 45 new agents while continuing to grow my own business. Later that same year, my wife and I launched our first real estate team.
Our philosophy was simple:
Home ownership changes lives.
We believed that educating buyers and sellers, communicating clearly, and always operating with integrity created true win-win situations - not just for clients, but for every agent and staff member connected to our business.
That commitment to service and results helped us become one of the Top 100 Century 21 teams in the country before later establishing ourselves as a dominant force with RE/MAX in the Las Vegas market.
In 2005, after welcoming our two children into the world, we made another major life decision and moved to Boise, Idaho. I earned my broker’s license, and together we opened our own Help-U-Sell franchise office. We quickly built one of the top-performing offices in the system, but the market downturn of 2008 changed the industry dramatically.
That season of life led me back into leadership, coaching, and training while my wife accepted a position with Weyerhaeuser. In late 2013, when the company closed its Boise corporate office, we relocated again - this time to Washington State.
By the end of 2016, I had rebuilt a strong business specializing in helping military families relocate throughout the Tacoma area. That same dedication to service earned me both Branch Broker of the Year in Tacoma and Companywide Broker of the Year for the largest Century 21 organization in Washington State.
In 2018, I expanded my passion for leadership and education by becoming a State Certified Real Estate Instructor, teaching licensing courses for future agents as well as continuing education classes for experienced brokers.
Then, in early 2020, with both of our children away at school during COVID, my wife and I made the decision to move closer to family in Arizona.
Today, I’m proud to serve buyers and sellers across the Phoenix metro area as part of The DeLong Group - one of Arizona’s top-performing real estate teams. Consistently ranked among the Top 1% of teams in Arizona, The DeLong Group is known for its high-level marketing, strong systems, advanced technology, aggressive digital advertising, and commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences.
Joining The DeLong Group has made me an even stronger advocate for my clients. With the support of a highly experienced collaborative team, cutting-edge marketing strategies, proven operational systems, and a client-first culture, I’m able to provide an elevated level of service, communication, and negotiation for buyers, sellers, and investors throughout Arizona.
Whether you’re purchasing your first home, upgrading to your dream home, relocating, investing, or preparing to sell, my mission remains the same as it was when I first entered this business over 26 years ago:
Serve people well.

Educate consistently.
Negotiate fiercely.
And help clients make confident real estate decisions that improve their lives for years to come.
