Looking for a fun way to beat Phoenix’s summer heat this weekend? Head to the Arizona Museum of Natural History in Downtown Mesa for an indoor adventure filled with dinosaur fossils, minerals, Sonoran Desert history, hands-on exhibits, and plenty of curious discoveries for all ages. 🦖
The museum is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. It’s located at 53 N. Macdonald in Mesa, with nearby street and public parking. Visit azmnh.org before you go to check for current gallery updates or closures.
With another very hot Phoenix weekend ahead, make the outing more comfortable:
• Drink water before you leave and bring it along for the drive.
• Apply sunscreen, even for short walks between your car and the entrance.
• Keep sunglasses handy for that bright Arizona sun.
• Plan outdoor stops for early morning or evening, and enjoy the museum during peak heat.
A little prehistoric exploration might be just the ticket for a cool, community-minded weekend. What’s your favorite indoor escape around the Valley?
