AI might be able to draft our communications (if we want it to - even that, I want MY words🤷🏻‍♀️), contracts and SOP’s, develop plans, provide research, streamline the processes of buying and selling homes, and more, but I think we’re pretty far away from it -

• exchanging a sentient tear or warm hug with a client that just lost their mom and needs to sell the family home

• throwing away the rubbish, replacing a toilet roll, hanging signs, and pushing the bins in before an open house

• meeting for a bevvie to discuss a new life shift, sipping the foam and clinking cups to celebrate the win

• shaking a warm hand, looking into someone’s eyes and promising to care for them with heart

• walking into a home and feeling the vibration of a space, noticing the way the light comes through the windows and helping the client imagine their daily life/comparing it to the last one you drove to and physically felt into

There’s much more that tech will take over, and we always have to be re-imagining how we will show up and work through changes, but I know I appreciate the human aspect of most things and I’m grateful to keep meeting people that crave that as well.🙏

That said - holler at your local Prescott/Scottsdale gal if you wanna run s**t by a warm human that’s got your back.♥️

I just helped some buyers relocate to AZ from the east coast and we did their entire deal on FaceTime/MLS/Transactiondesk and Wire Transfer.

They were able to confidently close on their new home without having to set foot in it first. Wild! And that speaks to the trust and confidence we had in each other to dive in deep and perform our roles.

That said, we still needed warm conversations, seeing each other’s expressions, interaction with each other/other humans that represented all parts of the process, and a human discernment with which I don’t quite trust a robot.

I appreciate the technology that allowed us to connect from afar, but at no point did they request to work with my avatar nor did I ever feel like I wasn’t needed to help guide the process and be the true eyes and ears of the deal. We all couldn’t wait until they arrived in person to connect live and to be physically walked through their home and handed the keys. 🔑

Living breathing human here🫶

There’s so much concern right now about how AI will replace us. It’s interesting in some ways how it already has, and interesting in other ways how it has not and may not.
(Gonna tell this in three parts because I refuse to use AI for my captions😂😅)

My dad was in real estate for 45 years and when he sees me working away at the computer, he often says “Why the hell are you on that thing so much? What are you even doing?”

Back in his day, the MLS was in a book; you put people in your vehicle and drove them around town all day; you found their numbers in the yellow pages and you put your ads in the back; there was no app for lock boxes and electronic signatures wouldn’t drop for 30 more years.. that’s just to name a few changes.

Now almost everything has an online component. And even with everything being online and the ability to buy or sell a home entirely with tech, I do believe we will always crave a human touch.. at least a lot of us.🤝

This pretty little diddy sold in just 7 days on market back in February. Not the hottest time of the year to sell, and even encountered a wicked cold snap that kept some folks where they were. But we were fortunate to get a lot of action, fast.

I’m really grateful to have worked with the seller and to have earned his trust; he was super sharp and dedicated to the process all while being out of state and doing this for his first time.

Our initial conversations began in September and several months followed to be ready to go live. Of course, it’s never just a simple act of selling a home…
It’s making life altering decisions. Choosing what to hold onto. Choosing to let go. Insurance, inspections, repairs. Difficult family dynamics. A world at war. Technology. An ever changing market. New exciting opportunities. Moving again. Confronting the things we often fear most - death. money. grief. taxes. I’m proud and inspired by my clients’ resilience and growth.

Every deal is an opportunity to show up for my people, to learn and support them through some of the biggest transitions they may encounter and I don’t take that lightly.

By properly prepping, clearing the home and making it sparkle, showcasing the beautiful updates made over the years, capturing it in its best light, and pricing it right, it moved quickly and efficiently and I couldn’t be happier for both sides - the seller got to start a whole new chapter, as did the buyer finding her home-sweet-home.🤍
