A big change is officially underway at McCormick Ranch.
Construction has started on The Lakefront at Scottsdale, a redevelopment of the former corporate property at 7501 E. McCormick Parkway, near Scottsdale Road.
The roughly 100,000-square-foot project is expected to bring restaurants, retail, wellness businesses, offices and new public gathering areas to the McCormick Lake waterfront.
And there are already some recognizable names attached, including SUSHISAMBA, La La Land Kind Cafe and V Modern Italian.
The project has officially broken ground, but openings are still a ways out. The first phase is currently targeted for fall 2027.
I think turning more of that lakefront into a place people can actually eat, hang out and enjoy is pretty interesting.
