The conversations I have with people moving to move to Scottsdale are rarely just about buying a house.
They’re about wanting a different way of living.
They’re tired of planning life around the weather. They want to wake up to the warm sunshine, spend more time outside than inside, play golf in January, hike before work, have dinner on the patio and watch their kids play outside regularly without waiting for Summer.
They’re looking for a place that feels energizing instead of draining. A place where health and wellness naturally become part of everyday life. Where weekends are spent exploring instead of waiting for the rain to stop. Where luxury isn’t just the home you live in, it’s having more time, more sunshine, and more freedom to enjoy it.
Growing up outside Seattle, I didn’t realize how much the weather influenced my mood until I left.
People joke it’s 8 months of perfection and 4 months of oven..and yes...they’re right, but you learn the rhythm. Early mornings. Pool afternoons. Soulful monsoon sunsets.
Then comes fall, when the city comes alive again and everyone heads back outside.
There’s a reason so many people from Washington, California and Illinois come here thinking they’ll stay for a season and end up building a life instead.
If you’re wondering what it’s really like to call Scottsdale home, comment “SUN SHOVEL” and I’ll send you my favorite neighborhoods, restaurants, events and local spots that make this place so special.💛
